DYON - Von der Gründung bis zum Erfolg
Der Gründer Philippe Dion wurde 1964 in Belgien geboren. Er begann bereits mit 13 Jahren mit dem Reiten und verliebte sich in die Pferdewelt. Da er nicht sehr akademisch war, erlaubten ihm seine Eltern, die Schule im Alter von 16 Jahren zu verlassen, um eine Ausbildung zum Hufschmied zu machen.
Da ihm die Mittel fehlten, beschloss er 1986, sein erstes Paar Long Chaps mit Hilfe seiner Schneiderin Tante herzustellen. Um dies zu tun, verglich er mehrere Modelle, die von seinen Freunden getragen wurden, um den Schnitt zu komponieren, der am besten zu ihm passen würde.
Dyon Qualität seit 1989
In den Ställen und während der Trainingseinheiten ziehen sie viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich und die ersten Bestellungen kommen rein. Zuerst war es nur ein Chap pro Woche, im zweiten Jahr waren es schon ein Paar Chaps pro Tag. Die erste Werkstatt öffnete 1989 ihre Pforten. Dy'on wurde damals geboren.
Nach dem Erfolg der Chaps und Mini-Chaps kamen die Reiter mit Anfragen nach Zaumzeug, Gamaschen und mehr. So entwarf Philippe 1994 Produkte, die den Anforderungen des Sportmarktes auf hohem Niveau gerecht wurden. Zu dieser Zeit wurden sie in England hergestellt, einem Land, das für sein Leder und sein Know-how bekannt ist. Während die Produktion der Chaps in Belgien blieb und immer bleiben wird.
